Ingredients

Compound Butter
4 cloves garlic
1 tsp olive oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
4 tbsp salted butter, room temperature
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chopped *parsley

Bread
4 slices of bread
Instructions
Roast: 40 minutes
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is preheating place 4 gloves of garlic in aluminum foil. Lightly sprinkle with salt, pepper, and oil. Wrap the garlic and place in an oven safe dish. Roast garlic for 30 minutes.
2. While the garlic roasts, add the butter and seasonings to a bowl. Add more salt and pepper if desired. Chop the parsley and add to the bowl. Cover and set aside.
3. Remove garlic and let cool for 10 minutes.

Mix: 3 minutes
4. Press the garlic out of the peel and add the garlic to the butter bowl. Mix the ingredients with a fork to break down the garlic.


Bake: 14 minutes
5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is preheating, spread the compound butter on both sides of the 4 slices of bread. Place the bread on a parchment lined baking sheet.
6. *Bake for 8 minutes, flip the bread slices, and bake for another 6-8 minutes.

* Substitute another herb for Parsley or skip the herbs if you don't have any on hand.

*If baking the toast later, cover and place the compound butter in the refrigerator. Remove the butter 30 minutes before baking to soften the butter.
